The College Relations and Development office reports to the College of Letters and Science and manages all fund raising and donor relations as prioritized by the dean. This office is also responsible for engaging external constituencies in ways that will encourage major gift private philanthropy to the College and UC Davis. The College Relations and Development office provides leadership in the management of all private contributions and the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors.
**JOB SUMMARY**
Under general supervision of the Development Program Manager, the Development Stewardship Analyst is responsible for administering the college-wide stewardship program, prospect tracking and data analysis, gift agreement execution, and gift processing.
Generate reports on various endowed and current use funds throughout the college for over 180 funds valued at more than $40 million. Strategically prioritize, sort and communicate prospect data based on various factors to support the professional fund raising staff in meeting annual visit and dollar goals. Communicate directly with major donors and prospects to provide giving information in various forms. Resolve donor issues, and manage the administrative fund raising functions to meet the strategic goal of increasing engagement with individuals, corporations and foundations. Recommend strategies and coordinate follow-up on prospects with members of the college major gift team. Project manage college/unit gift agreements from execution to stewardship. Verify gift allocations and processing, coordinated with then universitys gift processing administration.
Provide administrative and technical support to the major gift team which includes the College Deans, Assistant Dean and six professional fundraisers. Work with the central development office to ensure that all aspects of development programs are consistent with University policies and the policies, practices and standards of UC Davis University Development.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum**
* Experience with computer programs, database management, spreadsheets and word processing
* Thorough knowledge and experience in non-profit fund raising (higher education fund raising), including cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, prospect research and tracking, and campaign structures.
* Knowledge and experience in research principles using databases (fund raising databases), libraries and publicly available resources.
* Skills researching and organizing information to identify philanthropic patterns, tendencies, and relationships among individuals, corporations and foundations.
* Skills with MS Excel and/or spreadsheet programs to sort and assemble large amounts of data.
* Skills using internet and calendaring software (MS Outlook)
* Thorough writing, editing and proofreading skills to create and edit text and statistical documents; verify correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation; and to ensure accuracy of details.
* Organizational and project management skills.
* Interpersonal and communication skills to provide a customer service-oriented approach to dealing with internal and external requests from diverse members of the public.
**Preferred**:
* Experience using advanced interpersonal, written, oral and communication skills to produce briefings and proposals; develop and execute effective presentations; and create reports and studies.
* Experience using research, critical thinking, and analytical skills, including sound judgment and decision-making skills to correctly identify potential areas of concern; and to propose and implement effective strategic resolutions.
* Experience with UC Advancement Information System (AIS), Banner and DaFIS systems
* Knowledge of and experience with practices and procedures associated with building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external constituencies.
* Skill to interpret and apply UC policies and procedures.
