Art Director Intern - REMOTE
At AUC, we create commerce marketing campaigns that fill carts and win hearts for some of your favorite household brands and services. We’re looking for Summer Interns to join our 100% remote teams and help us create campaigns that can be experienced online, in-store, via social and over the air.
Summer Interns will learn from and collaborate with agency leaders across creative, studio, media, account service, strategy, and ecommerce teams to gain an understanding of the fast-growing commerce marketing industry, and work on actual name-brand clients.
The Art Director Intern will work with our award-winning creative team. As an intern, you’ll experience the day-to-day life of an Art Director – from brainstorming to concept ideation, to tactical execution – and interact with account, strategy, media and project managers. Each intern will have a dedicated mentor to provide guidance, and you’ll get to pick their brains on concepting, design, understanding commerce media and the application of brand standards and more.
Position is remote, but there will be travel to the Advantage offices in St Louis, MO 2 times over the program.
General Qualifications
Rising Senior, Graduating in May or Grad Student
Majors in complementary fields: Design, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design
Available for 40 hours a week 9-5 for the 10-week program (June 2- Aug 8)
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Come from a place of curiosity and wanting to learn more
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Majors in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design
Have a Portfolio
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Software
Experience with an agency or related field

Travel to St. Louis is required for two specific weeks:
Kickoff Week: The week of June 2 nd
Closing Week: The week of August 4 th
Transportation and lodging for these trips will be provided by Advantage Solutions.

Internship Criteria
High School Diploma or GED
Applicants must be attending any accredited, two or four-year degree-granting institution or an accredited
Graduate Master’s or MBA program, in the United States
Applicants must be senior status or have graduated during the previous year
Applicants need to have a minimum 3.0 GPA
Applicants will be required to submit at least two personal letters of recommendation

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for leading or assisting in the completion of business unit projects as assigned
Assist the business unit team with day-to-day work that covers activities across the division
Assist in developing new systems, reports and analytics to support business unit needs
Audit/review documents submitted for completeness and accuracy
Work with others in the business unit group on initiatives aimed at process improvements
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: coursework emphasis in applicable major
