Our client, a high-end restaurant group, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join their team in Washington, DC! This hospitality professional will be responsible for planning, organizing, training, and leadership development of the restaurant and its staff.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis.
• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Perform various financial activities, such as cash handling, deposit preparation, and payroll.
• Create and approve weekly schedule for hourly service staff.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training o f employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Establish regular communication with team, including pre-shifts, meetings, trainings, etc.
• Manage staff in their daily responsibilities, providing clear, effective direction.

• Organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Skills in management and development.
• Proactively ensure compliance of food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
