As a Behavioral Health Technician, your duties will include providing general oversight of day-to-day activities, health monitoring, crisis intervention, and communication with the treatment team. You'll facilitate group education and structured activities, transport clients as needed, and maintain accurate records of client medications and behaviors. Key Responsibilities include providing direct and supportive care to clients, including health monitoring and crisis intervention; facilitating group education and structured activities, promoting client engagement and participation; communicating effectively with the treatment team, ensuring seamless care coordination; maintaining accurate records of client medications, behaviors, and progress; assisting in admission and orientation processes, including obtaining vital signs and collecting lab specimens; fostering adaptive behavior in clients, encouraging positive social interaction and role-modeling; ensuring precaution protocols are adhered to and documented accordingly; providing client transportation as needed, ensuring safety and dignity. Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment; Experience in Human Services or related field preferred; Bachelor’s Degree, OR MAADC I or II (for St. Louis County Programs). Additional Qualifications: Successful completion of background check, including driving record and abuse/neglect check; Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance; First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date; CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date; Ability to complete all mandatory trainings, including Relias and CPI/Crisis Management. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently; Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift; Sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing for brief periods.
