Summary of Primary Duties:
Reporting to Director of ERES Operations, this position is responsible for balancing the day to day tasks and responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) while also providing management support to the Director of ERES Operations by serving as a liaison for communication, identifying key operations issues, assisting in training staff, maintaining program standards, and implementing process and policy changes as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- The BHT Supervisor continues to fulfill the primary role of a Behavioral Health Technician by ensuring that day to day operations run smoothly at whichever location they are working and that all necessary documentation and communication is completed.
- The BHT Supervisor will create the weekly schedule for all Behavioral Health Technicians at their prospective program (level of care) each week. The BHT Supervisor will ensure that all shifts and duties are covered while minimizing overtime and distributing hours and shifts among the Behavioral Health Technicians appropriately.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for assisting with interviewing and hiring new Behavioral Health Technicians once applicants have passed through the initial recruiting and screening process with HR.
- The BHT Supervisor is required to employ a systematic approach to time management so that their time is spent equally between each house in their prospective program (level of care), while maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt to real time demands during a shift.
- The BHT Supervisor will facilitate (or co-facilitate) the Behavioral Health Technician manual training 1x each week, in each house, in their prospective program (level of care).
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for serving as the liaison between the Director of ERES Operations and the other Behavioral Health Technicians for all shift callouts and scheduling issues.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for coordinating coverage of duties during any BHT call outs or scheduled time off, and making sure that all shifts are covered.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for serving as the liaison between the ELC Admissions department and their prospective program (level of care) for anything that assistance may need assistance with including but not limited to coordination of transfer clients, property, or medication issues.
- The BHT Supervisor serves as the liaison between their prospective program (level of care) and the finance team (accounts payable) for communication regarding any supply ordering for the residential program.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for the ordering of all house supplies, monitoring the prudent reserve of supplies, and making sure supplies are only purchased when necessary based on inventory and standard rates of use.
- The BHT Supervisor that oversees a residential level of care that includes the provision of food to clients is responsible for completing the weekly food order within the set budget and maintaining inventory of any food supplies leftover from the previous week.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for providing general day to day insight and direction to the other Behavioral Health Technicians, and when necessary suggesting consultation with the Director of ERES Operations.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for reviewing the end of shift reports of all other Behavioral Health Technicians at their prospective program (level of care).
- The BHT Supervisor is required to attend and participate in all relevant and regularly scheduled team meetings and provide any program updates or announcements.
- The BHT Supervisor supports the management team by making sure that each Behavioral Health Technician is actively participating in data tracking and documentation for their house or any house that they work a shift in, including but not limited to medication logs, census sheets, group attendance sheets, sign in/out sheets, logging any UAs conducted, cleanliness checklists, room or car searches, distributed property logs, visitation logs, ect.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for conducting and/or overseeing the completion of “Health and Safety Drills'' each month. This process includes documenting and submitting Quality Assurance (QA) data from the other ERES counselors and houses in their prospective programs (level of care) each month and reviewing that data with the QA team. putting it in the QA folders.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for identifying ongoing training needs and areas in need of improvement regarding operations at the ERES programs and working closely with the ERES Director of Operations to develop and implement training programs that support the development of Behavioral Health Technician team members.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for participating in a monthly team meeting with the ERES management team including the other Leads, Supervisors, and ERES Directors.
- The BHT Supervisor works closely with the ERES Directors to provide input and assistance with annual employee performance reviews and Personal Improvement Plans (PIP) as needed.
- The BHT Supervisor takes ownership in helping to uphold the ethical integrity of the ERES programs and works closely with the Director of ERES Operations regarding any observed personnel, ethical, or performance issues of ERES staff.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for communicating, training, and implementing any process changes for the BHT staff as directed by the Director of ERES Operations.
- The BHT Supervisor is responsible for providing each new BHT staff member a dedicated portion of time during their first day of on-site training after they have completed all HR onboarding procedures.
- The BHT Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining and implementing a first week (5 - day) training schedule for any new BHT staff being onboarded at their prospective program (level of care). In the event that a new BHT can only train and work overnight shifts, accommodations to the training schedule may be made.
- The BHT Supervisor should support BHT staff development, including making efforts to provide constructive feedback, implement reward and recognition programs, and schedule and conduct regular displays of BHT staff appreciation (such as team lunches) as needed.

- Understanding of HIPAA and COMAR regulations that are relevant to the intake process
