As a Delivery Driver, you will be a delivery hero in the neighborhoods you serve - delivering smiles to customers every day in the form of critical supplies, household goods, toys and so much more. Delivery Drivers will drive an Amazon-branded, DOT-regulated vehicle, delivering packages to customers. Delivery Helpers ride alongside the driver and assist with the delivery of
heavy and bulky items (up to 500 pounds) . You can expect to work 4 days per week and up to 10 hours per day.
We are a 6 day a week operation. We only hire drivers with open/flexible availability to work weekdays and Saturday (Saturday is a requirement). Start time for this position is 9:30am. Minimum Requirements: - SAFETY 1st mentality! - protect yourself, others, and company assets
- 1+ years driving experience in a 26ft box truck or larger vehicle
- DOT Medical Card /Cert (current/valid/or willing to obtain one)
- Be at least 21 years of age Valid standard driver's license (no special license required)
- Have a very safe driving record (No DUI/DWI/Reckless)
- Be able to work until route completion
- Read, write, and speak English
- Consent to laboratory drug screening and motor vehicle record check
- Have good communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Able to operate handheld electronic delivery devices and navigate route using GPS guidance
- Able to lift heavy/bulky items weighing up to 500 pounds (team lift)
Additional Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years driving experience in a 26ft box truck or larger vehicle
- Prior DOT regulated driving experience
- Residential delivery experience
- Demonstrated independent problem solving and analytical skills
- Prior experience interacting with customers and public in a professional and positive manner
