We are looking for a Broker Placement Specialist to join our commercial lines team full-time. Do you have an optimistic outlook and willingness to work with a dynamic and diverse team? Are you a resourceful and ambitious individual wanting to continue to expand your insurance knowledge and skills? While working on a lively and collaborative team and under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Broker carries out a wide range of duties.

• You will help with strategic planning for the placement of business with appropriate insurers
• You will ensure the right information is flowing among Gallagher and our carriers.
• A Broker helps overall growth objectives through effective marketing and developing relationships with producers and insurers
• You will be involved in developing products, facilities and market support to win and retain business
• Support for Producers in the development of new business
• Assistance in the marketing of key and difficult placements
• Working with our claims team to assist with claims settlement and advocacy
• You will have the ability to learn on a continual basis through educational opportunities and collaboration with colleagues

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
• License(s) essential to provincial licensing jurisdictions as required for the position along with management of continuing education hours
• 3 years broking experience in the marketplace
• Existing, successful relationships with a number of insurers
