Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Chemist to join our dynamic Research and Development (R&D) team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and testing new materials and formulations for our toy products, ensuring they meet stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and formulate new materials for toy products, including plastics, coatings, adhesives, and colorants. Conduct chemical analysis and testing to ensure materials meet performance and safety specifications. Collaborate with product designers and engineers to integrate new materials into product designs. Perform stability and compatibility testing of materials and finished products. Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., ASTM, CPSC, REACH, RoHS). Troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues during the manufacturing process. Document and report findings, maintaining detailed records of formulations, processes, and test results. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and regulatory changes. Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive innovation and product development. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the toy, consumer goods, or related industry. Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, material science, and chemical analysis techniques. Familiarity with regulatory standards and testing protocols for toy safety. Proficient in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments (e.g., FTIR, DSC, TGA, GC-MS). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
