Now hiring a qualified Clinical Documentation Specialist, RN in Port Angeles, Washington!

In-person RN Pay Details:

• $2,600 weekly gross on 40 hours.
• Local and Travel pay packages both available.
• Weekly Direct Deposit every Friday.
• W2 position with benefits available; Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, 401K.

Schedule and Timeline:

• Now hiring for ASAP start dates.
• 13-week direct contract with potential to extend.
• Quick feedback and expedited credentialing process with in-house experts.
• 40 hours per week.
• 8-hour Day shift.

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Reviews medical record for completeness and accuracy for severity of illness (SOI) and quality using the CDMP® documentation strategies.
• Reviews records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Recognizes opportunities for documentation improvement.
• Initiates CDMP® severity worksheet for inpatients.
• Formulates clinically credible documentation clarifications.
• Requests documentation clarifications as appropriate for SOI.
• Communicates professionally and effectively with providers and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Follows up on all cases, and the resolution of those with clinical documentation clarifications, on timely basis.
• Records reviews, clarifications, physician interactions in software.
• Participates in Task Force Meetings, multidisciplinary rounds, and other meetings as appropriate.
• Communicates with HIM staff and resolves discrepancies.
• Inputs data accurately into CDMP Trak®.
• Participates in audits, research, and other projects as appropriate.
• Participates in CDS, CM Department, and OMC-wide education to promote professional growth and maintain competencies (e.g., ACDIS- or JATA-sponsored updates, coding clinics).
• Acts as preceptor/mentor for new employees as assigned.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as an RN.
• Experience in a Clinical Documentation Specialist role.
• CDI, CCDS, or CCDS-O certification.
• WA or compact RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
