Job Description

Commercial Banking Relationship Manager Location Hybrid work in Texas :

This summer, Amplify Credit Union will become the first provider of fee-free commercial banking services in the industry. We're looking for a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to help us find and serve the executives, community leaders, and entrepreneurs who need it. We'll offer a full suite of Treasury Management services, just without the tiresome games of account analysis, earnings credits, and everything else that eats away at customers' money, patience and loyalty.

Under the mentorship of industry veteran Julie Macaluso, this role will partner with in-person and remote teammates to find, engage, onboard, and serve commercial banking customers. The most rewarding part of this job will be encountering business leaders' disbelief and delight when they learn they can get all the services they need ACH origination, positive pay, online wires, and more without minimum balance requirements, per-transaction charges or any banking fees at all.

This will be a great job for an experienced commercial banker passionate about helping customers but tired of the trappings that don't serve anyone. At Amplify, you'll never have to justify a bank fee to a customer, because there simply aren't any. You also won't suffer through long commutes downtown five days a week, because this is a hybrid position where contribution is measured in relationships and results, not badge swipes.

Amplify CEO Kendall Garrison says often that, We're gonna fix what's wrong with banking, or we're gonna die trying. We've been doing that for years now with fee-free banking for consumers and small businesses. The next frontier in that fight is fee-free commercial banking and we welcome your application to join the team.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the features and requirements of treasury management products and risk management practices.
  • Exemplify service excellence for commercial banking customers, upholding Amplify's service standards for its business members.
  • Represent Amplify in the business community, advancing the organization's reputation and cultivating relationships with prospective business members and referral partners.
  • Lead prospecting, pitching and onboarding for commercial banking customers, from first contact through account opening and document execution.
  • Cultivate relationships with Amplify teammates crucial to coordinating service across the credit union and facilitating internal referrals.
  • Uphold all regulatory requirements and policies (including BSA, AML and OFAC).

Job Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of five years of relevant experience, including a strong understanding of the Central Texas business community. Ideally, that will include work directly in treasury management / commercial banking, including deep knowledge of payments processing for businesses. However, other applicable experience will be considered (such as relationship-based sales to businesses in regulated industries), provided candidates can demonstrate their ability to attain the financial industry acumen required. Candidates are also required to have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a college degree in business, accounting or finance is preferred.

What We Offer:

To build a better bank, you must build a better team. We want your time at Amplify to be a jumping-off point for personal and professional success. This means offering growth opportunities including paid volunteer hours and development programs that will engage you with the community and help you advance your career:

  • Customized volunteer opportunities with our signature partners (Saint Louise House, Caritas of Austin, and the American Red Cross).
  • Additional paid time off for volunteer-related activities.
  • Undergraduate and graduate tuition benefits for eligible full-time and part-time team members.

Pay & Benefits:

This position offers a pay range of $85,000 - $100,000. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute.

Location:

This is a Hybrid position in Austin, TX.

If you have any questions or want to request an accommodation, please contact Human Resources by emailing Human.Resources@goamplify.com or calling (512) 519-5435.
