We are looking for a meticulous Copy Editor to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on a contract-to-permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of written documents while adhering to style guides and compliance standards. Responsibilities:
• Edit and proofread various types of written materials, including reports and correspondence, to ensure clarity, grammar accuracy, and consistency.
• Verify that all documents comply with company standards and established style guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to clarify content and address discrepancies or errors.
• Manage tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat to enhance editing processes.
• Ensure all written content aligns with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide feedback to authors and stakeholders to improve overall document quality.
• Organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Stay updated on best practices and trends in editing and proofreading.
• Contribute to maintaining a cohesive and precise tone across all company communications.• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in editing, proofreading, or writing roles with a strong focus on detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and formatting standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Visual acuity sufficient to review and edit both digital and printed materials.
