Job Details
Requirements:
Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings, minimizing tax liabilities, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues, staying up-to-date with the tax laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate and timely guidance.
Review and supervise the preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns, ensuring precision and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of the tax issues facing privately held Corporations, S Corporations and Partnerships, including state tax matters, especially in the areas of tax compliance, tax accounting and consulting services.
Knowledge of individual tax returns and the interplay of corporate and owner tax regulations.
Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Advanced degree (e.g Master’s in Taxation) preferred.
CPA or Member of the Bar.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in corporate and partnership tax, preferably in a public accounting firm.
Proficiency in tax software and other accounting tools (e.g., CCH Axcess, Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax) is highly desirable.
