Job Summary Industrial Engine Application and Installation (A&I) engineering support to CAT dealers / Perkins Distributors and direct OEM customers through Concept, Design, Testing and Reporting product development stages. Technical support for the Americas sales, Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and New Product Introduction teams (NPI). Support Americas A&I network training initiatives. Support worldwide A&I network on IPSD-LE/LPSD industrial engines.
What you will do - Support dealer/distributor and direct OEM's projects via A&I, taking them to production.
- Assure Americas dealer and distributor A&I capability.
- Support global team with deep A&I expertise on IPSD-LE/LPSD Industrial engines.
- Manage A&I services for Americas region.
- Support Industrial sales teams by providing A&I technical information to drive engine sales.
- Build strong relationships with selling dealers and distributors in the Americas region.
- Oversee the creation of Mechanical and Electronic A&I Guides to support NPI projects for IPSD Large/LPSD Industrial Engines
- Manage and track A&I documentation in Salesforce to assure production readiness to meet agreed to dates.
- Provide Voice of Customer for NPI to assure engine systems meet customer requirements.
What you Will Have - Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
- Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of Machine Validation.
- Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a third-party machine environment.
Top Candidates Will Also Have - Instrumentation and data acquisition testing experience of engine and/or machine
- Prior dealer/customer experience
- Working knowledge of the physical design and functional characteristics of machine applications
- Electrical / Electronics background
Additional Information - Up to 30% Travel required
- The primary location for this position is Seguin Texas, with additional location in Mossville Illinois.
