Director, Campus Ministry Apply locations Loyola University Maryland Main Campus Position Title: Director, Campus Ministry Employee Type: Regular Office/Department: Mission Integration Work Environment: Loyola University Maryland Main Campus Job Type: Full time Compensation Range: $64,322.00 - $80,401.00 Anticipated Start Date: 01/31/2025 Position Duties: The Director of Campus Ministry is a senior leadership position in the Division of Mission and Identity charged with the strategic leadership of the Office of Campus Ministry in support of the Division's strategic plan. Reporting to the Vice President for Mission and Identity, the Director will develop creative and innovative directions for the Office of Campus Ministry to meet the rapidly evolving context of the religious and spiritual life at Loyola University Maryland as a Jesuit, Catholic university with a multi-faith and multi-cultural student body. Pastoral Ministry Leadership: Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of the Loyola University Maryland's Office of Campus Ministry, including experience and grounding in Catholic liturgy, ministry, and formation. Establish and promote the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the Office of Campus Ministry in order to align with and advance the Division’s Strategic Plan. The Director will lead the Office to foster the religious, spiritual, and liturgical life of the campus community and will have a public, pastoral presence at many Catholic liturgies, interfaith, and ecumenical services. Managerial Leadership: Oversee and supervise a team of campus ministers and student interns to ensure effective pastoral outreach to the whole university community. Provide professional development and guidance to Campus Ministry employees. Establish annual performance goals for staff and conduct performance reviews. Oversee the annual department budget and make budget recommendations to the Vice President. The Director provides leadership and oversight of worship, retreats, pastoral counseling, justice education, prayer services, sacramental preparation, and day-to-day activity of the Office of Campus Ministry. Ecclesial Leadership: Will serve as a liaison to the Jesuit Community of Loyola University Maryland and the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Foster the values of the Catholic Church and the Society of Jesus. Serve as the Loyola representative to the AJCU Director of Campus Ministry network. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, or related field. Master's Degree preferred. 5 to 8 years of related experience required, including experience in Catholic theology, working with college students, and pastoral programming. Knowledge of student development in higher education, including spiritual development. Commitment to engaging college students in spiritual and social justice issues. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as a member of a team. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
