The Director of Publishing is responsible for planning and implementing the general publishing program of the Library of Congress and for managing the operation of the Publishing Office, including supervising Publishing Office staff and contractors. The Director extends the range of the Library’s publishing program through cooperative agreements with outside publishers and other organizations, agencies, or individuals.
