Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineer for employment in the Honolulu Hawaii office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This position is expected to begin in March 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering Geology and Environmental Science.
  • Valid U.S. Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices. 
  • As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a DBIDs pass to gain access to any required federal military installation site locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Environmental Science Engineering Geology or related discipline.
  • Relevant years of work experience.
  • Experience military emergency response and environmental projects
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel Access Word PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.
  • Experience using ArcGIS and generating maps and report figures.
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken communication (including polished client presentation skills) organization time management.
  • Ability to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors.

  • Relocation assistance is available for this role.

  • Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
