Job Description

A school district in the Nashville, TN area is seeking a qualified ESL teacher for the 20252026 school year to serve K-12 students. This contract position provides an exciting opportunity to support English learners (ELs) in a diverse learning environment with a caseload of approximately 15 students. The role is based in La Vergne, TN, with standard school hours of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized ESL instruction tailored to the varied proficiency levels of EL students, both individually and in small groups.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure access to grade-level content through differentiated and scaffolded lessons.
• Implement a range of instructional strategies, media, and technology to accommodate diverse language abilities and learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support student success and inclusivity.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to inform instructional planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Tennessee ESL endorsement for grades K-8 is required.
• Experience in teaching English learners at the K-12 level preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
