Job Title: Certified Forklift Operator – Sit Down Location: Linden, NJ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No weekends) Pay Rate: $20/hour Type: Temp-to-Perm Benefits: Medical (MEC Plan), 5 Paid Sick Days Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Certified Forklift Operator to join our team in Linden, NJ. This position is focused strictly on loading and unloading containers from the port. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sit-down forklift operation and a proven track record of safety and efficiency in high-volume environments. Responsibilities: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload cargo from shipping containers Handle materials with precision and care to prevent damage Verify load information, inspect equipment, and report any issues or inconsistencies Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations Requirements: Must have a valid Forklift Certification Minimum 3 years of recent sit-down forklift experience Experience working in port environments or with containerized freight preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable transportation and punctuality
