POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a passionate and experienced leader ready to drive impactful transportation projects? Robert Peccia & Associates (RPA) is seeking a motivated and skilled Streets & Highways Group Manager to lead our talented team of engineers. In this role, you will spearhead a diverse range of roadway design projects across the Northwest including urban streets, rural highways, interchanges, roundabouts, multimodal improvements, and hydraulics/hydrology.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS POSITION

As the Streets & Highways Group Manager, you will:

  • Lead : Inspire and guide our Streets & Highways Group, driving excellence across a diverse portfolio of transportation infrastructure projects across the northwest.
  • Innovate : Guide your team through complex roadway design, hydraulic/hydrology, and urban/rural highway projects, encouraging creative solutions and leveraging technical expertise.
  • Strategize : Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies to bolster RPA’s growth and market presence.
  • Collaborate : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients such as MDT, FHWA, NPS, USFS, and local municipalities, ensuring alignment with their needs and satisfaction with our services.
  • Develop : Build on our established reputation for outstanding client service and project delivery, further strengthening our market position.
  • Mentor : Guide and support junior engineers, supporting their growth and development while ensuring the overall success of the team.
  • Deliver : Provide technical support, design leadership, and client-facing project management, while overseeing QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Licensure : Professional Engineering license in Montana, or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • Experience : At least ten years of progressive experience in roadway design, with a proven track record in leading complex highway projects, preferably for MDT or other state DOTs.
  • Skills : Demonstrated leadership, communication skills, technical knowledge, and experience with roadway design programs such as Civil3D.
  • Attributes : Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines while making independent decisions.
