Job Details
The Inside Sales Engineer supports project planning and sales by estimating costs, resources, and timelines for building automation systems. Responsibilities include reviewing project plans, preparing estimates and proposals, collaborating with the sales team, and facilitating project handovers to ensure smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Review construction plans, specifications, and codes to develop accurate estimates.
Select cost-effective control products and solutions to meet project needs.
Prepare detailed proposals and scopes of work for client presentations.
Collaborate with project managers during sales-to-operations transitions.
Support the sales team with technical expertise and occasional preliminary designs.
Maintain compliance with safety standards, company policies, and client expectations.
Stay updated on industry trends, products, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Relevant certifications or technical school education accepted.
3–5 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or related fields in building controls, automation, or HVAC industries.
Proficiency in technical analysis and estimating for control systems is highly valued.
