USAC's target compensation rate for a new hire into this position is $19.00 USD per hour. The Intern will participate in USAC-sponsored activities, training opportunities, and networking events. Your Role Work alongside the product management product owners and business systems analysts. Support meetings with the business and technical teams, requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and technical documentation needs. Learn about product management, Agile and Scrum methodologies, product functionality features, and utilize tools such as Confluence and Jira. About You You are passionate about our mission to help Americans gain access to essential communications technology You are a problem solver with great attention to detail, can work with little supervision, multi-task, and learn quickly You have some exposure and experience with the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word) You are a quick study, love brainstorming new ideas, and are eager to find solutions You are agile at working across other departments Current student in an accredited college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution You have critical thinking Skills; quantitative analytics knowledge; persistence Some knowledge of the software development life cycle Some knowledge about software implementation and software testing Students pursuing Computer Science related Degree encouraged to apply Eligibility You must be at least 18 years to apply. You must be a rising junior or senior student attending an accredited college or university, or a first-year post-graduate within the first year of your program. Nontraditional students may apply. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher to remain eligible for the program. Interns must work for a minimum of 16 hours per week (and no more than 19 hours a week) in the USAC office in Washington, DC.
