Position Overview:

BrüMate, an innovative leader in drinkware and outdoor products, is looking for a highly motivated and driven Junior-Level Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Industrial Design Lead, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing category-defining drinkware, coolers, and accessories. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, constantly pushes boundaries, and seeks new ways to enhance the user experience through our Purpose-Driven Innovation design methodology. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a passion for creating stunning, functional products that resonate with our customers.

How You’ll Make A Difference:

Design & Innovation

  • Drive the evolution of BrüMate’s product lineup by conceptualizing, designing, and refining new and existing products that align with our brand vision and innovation strategy.
  • Elevate the details of product design and development, ensuring materials, finishes, ergonomics, and usability come together to create a seamless and impactful user experience.
  • Play a key role in prototyping and testing, validating design intent to ensure that every product not only looks great but performs flawlessly.

Visualization & Trend

  • Bring ideas to life with high-quality, photorealistic renderings in KeyShot, effectively communicating design intent to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging materials, and new technologies, continuously introducing fresh ideas that keep BrüMate at the forefront of innovation.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Creative, Operations, and external Manufacturing Teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to final product.
  • Take a hands-on, adaptable approach to problem-solving, stepping in where needed to support design, development, and production efforts.

Research & Strategic Insights

  • Transform consumer insights into actionable product briefs, developing innovative solutions that enhance value for customers and end users.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities, driving strategic innovation across existing and emerging product categories.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

Bringing Ideas to Life

  • Develop and refine product concepts through sketching, digital renderings, and 3D modeling in Fusion 360.
  • Iterate on detailed CAD models, ensuring feasibility and manufacturability at every stage.
  • Assist in prototyping and hands-on testing to validate concepts and optimize designs before production.

Creating Impactful Visuals

  • Drive the end-to-end process of creating high-quality KeyShot renderings, with a strong focus on e-commerce assets, while supporting marketing materials and internal presentations.
  • Support CMFG with compelling visuals that align with launch schedule objectives.
  • Ensure renderings accurately represent intended colors, materials, finishes, and graphics, aligning with product samples or the envisioned final design.

Collaborating with Teams & Partners

  • Work alongside the Product Development Team and other cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with the product roadmap and development pipeline.
  • Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and team meetings to drive purpose-driven innovation.
  • Directly communicate with suppliers and manufacturers, refining details for seamless product development and specifications.

Researching & Refining

  • Stay ahead of materials, finishes, and design trends to inform new product development.
  • Support design documentation with technical drawings, exploded views, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Rapidly iterate based on feedback, testing, and insights to continuously improve design solutions.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Design or a related field preferably within consumer products.
  • You have a true passion for design and trends that extends beyond the 9-5. Highly self-driven, you take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously and are always ready to tackle new problems to ensure success.
  • You thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment, balancing independent work with teamwork. You bring a proactive, positive attitude and collaborate effectively across all design phases to support a growing brand.
  • Strong conceptualization sketching and ideation skills with the ability to generate product concepts that are both feasible and innovative.
  • Proficient 3D CAD modeling skills preferably in Autodesk Fusion 360; Advanced surfacing and assembly creation are a plus.
  • A passion for creating high-quality and informative product visualizations for internal and external communications and marketing; KeyShot preferred.
  • Advanced Adobe CS skills with a focus on Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, including tooling, injection molding, metal forming, and related production methods, with the ability to design within manufacturing constraints.
  • Experience building product manufacturing documents such as CAD drawings, tech packs, BOMs, and written product requirements to ensure design integrity.
