Summary: An individual in this position will operate and maintain Laser Engraving and Flexo plating Equipment for the production of engraved sleeves and printing plates. This person is responsible for all quality control functions associated with engraved material, machine setup and operation, and proper use of QC devices and inspection applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate Laser Engraving Device and associated equipment.
2. QC engraving and plate files.
3. Clean and prepare sleeves and plates for shipping and delivery.
4. Maintain production and all regulatory records as required.
5. Deliver/pick up sleeve and plates to carriers, customers and vendors.
6. Maintain all operator assigned equipment maintenance and assist service technicians when they are involved.
7. Keep work area organized and uncluttered; adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
8. Maintain the support equipment (chillers, air handling, washing, etc.), and ensure proper operation.
9. Perform other duties as necessary to maintain a clean safe work environment.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Competent operating a computer.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to synthesize and filter inputs from multiple sources to key on the most important influences impacting future demand.
• Ability to analytically and independently solve problems.
• Ability to work under pressure in adverse conditions and maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to professionally interact with customers/vendors in face-to-face meetings.
• Must be a team player and maintain a positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

• HS Graduate is minimum education requirement with additional education / technical training preferred.
• Experience with engraving machine/equipment is desirable.
• Experience with measurement instruments including dial indicators, calipers, and microscopes.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
