Job Description

This position requires - Clear Background, Drug Test, and Education Check. Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without Sponsorship. (Principal Only! No Corp to Corp ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Position Title: 456770-Immigration Legal Specialist Location: San Jose, CA Pay Rate: $35-$50 Contract Duration: 6 months contract Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the visa and immigration services, ensuring that the process runs smoothly Provide a high quality and consistent experience to employees, new-hires, and managers Consult with candidates at the pre-offer stage and strategize on visa strategy Analyze monthly visa extension and green card review lists Initiate visa/green card applications for candidates and new hires Support the export control process Responsible for timely invoice submission; reconciliation of vendor invoice discrepancies and issue resolution Handle daily immigration operations, remaining up to date with any changes to legislation Ensure that the information provided by the client is accurate and correct, preparing and checking all legal documents Consult with legal counsel on complex immigration issues Manage, maintain and track visa and green card applications Other ad hoc duties as required Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, HR or related field 8 years’ working experience within corporate immigration. Large multinational organization experience preferred Ability to articulate immigration matters to stakeholders Deep understanding of non-immigrant visa classifications, including H-1B, F-1, TN, L-1, O-1 and E-3 Strong knowledge of immigrant visa process, including PERM, I-140 and AOS Excellent Communication skills and ability to handle sensitive confidential matters Detail oriented, extremely organized, and have the ability to manage multiple assignments successfully in a fast paced and changing environment Excellent customer service approach to handle daily interactions Prior experience working in a high tech environment strongly preferred We encourage Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans and Disabled individuals to apply for all positions that they may be qualified for.
