PRIDE Health is seeking a local contract Pharmacy Technician for a local contract job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, package, and distribute medications following established protocols. Perform unit dosage preparation and labeling. Oversee and assist with controlled substances management. Perform sterile IV admixtures using aseptic techniques. Conduct medication reconciliation and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medication management. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals. Participate in inventory management, including restocking automated dispensing cabinets (ADC). Conduct quality control procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards. Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians. Qualifications: Required Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) within 6 months of hire. Preferred Education & Experience: Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy department. Experience in an outpatient/community pharmacy is a plus for decentralized technicians. Skills: Strong knowledge of medication distribution processes. Proficiency in IV preparation using aseptic techniques. Familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets (ADC). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additional Information: Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226 Schedule: 40 hours/week (5x8 hour shifts - Mix of AM and PM shifts) AM Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM PM Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Contract Length: 13 weeks
