Summary The Logistics/Finishing Associate is responsible for administering first check and second check of the outbound products, shipping those products, receiving, and logging the inbound inventory, as well as, aiding the Finish Department when needed. This position is the last step in our process and therefore, responsible for ensuring that the high-quality standards of Wildlife Gallery products are being received by our customers.
Essential Functions - Maintain a positive consistency in the following five attributes: Attendance, Attitude, Production, Quality, and Teamwork
- Have the computer skills and ability to use Net Suite, Dropbox, and Microsoft Excel among other software
- Be able to differentiate between animal species, cuts of animal skins, and customer punch codes
- Perform first sort/first check, second check and shipping of finished hides
- Box wet tans and dry tans
- Create sales orders, item fulfillments, and shipping labels
- Check in orders in the receiving department received from several different resources
- Oil and hang up skins
- Operate buffing machine to soften and clean leather - primarily on fine fur skins
- Groom hides to clean hair before returning to customer
- Operate a staking machine to soften leather
- Stretch and turn faces to soften leather
- Operate the drum and cages to clean leather and hair of hides
- Pull and turn wet tans
- Abide by the chemical information/safety data sheets
- Participate in Safety/Loss Control Programs as determined by EMC Insurance and The Wildlife Gallery
- Performs other relative duties assigned by supervisors or managers

Physical Demands This job requires the ability to bend, stand, and lift. Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time and perform repetitive motion. Lifting requirements are classified as Heavy Work. 5-15 pounds of force will be exerted frequently and 50-100 pounds of force occasionally.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time hourly position. Standard weekly hours include Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Shifts may vary per management discretion. Voluntary overtime is occasionally available and mandatory overtime is sometimes required.
