About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Education to lead the development and expansion of its educational and engagement programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the educational direction of the organization, with a focus on high school students, educators, parents, and administrators. This pivotal role involves managing all educational programs, ensuring high-quality content, and driving the overall strategy. The Managing Director will also be tasked with fundraising, expanding revenue-generating activities, and cultivating relationships with various stakeholders. The role demands excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in education or a related field, at least 10 years' of education leadership experience, and a deep understanding of science-based social and emotional learning practices, particularly in the context of preventing violence. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director of Education include program leadership and management, fundraising and development, establishing external partnerships, and providing content expertise in the field of education. The role requires a visionary leader with a commitment to the mission of the organization, extensive experience in designing and implementing educational programs, and a proven track record in fundraising. The candidate should be adept at creating professional learning programs, have experience with trauma-sensitive approaches, and be capable of engaging diverse stakeholders. A strong background in K-12 education, particularly with high school students, and a history of working closely with educational leaders is essential.
