This part-time role is perfect for new graduates eager to dive into the world of clinical laboratory testing while ensuring quality and accuracy in results.

In this role, you will:

• Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and procedures.
• Ensure quality control and accuracy in all results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and train new personnel.

Key Details

Location: Avera Marshall Hospital

Worker Type: Regular

Work Shift: Primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays

Pay Range: $23.50 - $44.00 (actual pay rate dependent upon experience)

Your Responsibilities

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician, you will:

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, including supply inventory and quality control.
• Perform clinical laboratory tests using established protocols and independent judgment.
• Distinguish between normal and abnormal clinical parameters and take appropriate actions.
• Communicate laboratory data accurately and timely to relevant departments.
• Participate in the development of lab protocols and training for new team members.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Certification from AMT or ASCP within one year of employment.
