We are currently hiring for entry level microbiology lab technicians, mid-level microbiologists I-IV, Sr. level microbiologists and Microbiology Lab Managers at local medical device and pharmaceutical companies.

Microbiology Lab Technician

Description:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

+ Review and interpret FDA, EU and other international regulations, standards and guidelines covering sterilization and microbial contamination control in the manufacture of sterile medical devices

+ Complete studies needed to address compliance requirements for medical device microbial control and sterility

+ Follow aseptic lab techniques and procedures with close attention to detail

+ Assist Sr. Microbiologists with tasks and studies

Qualifications:

+ BS/BA in Microbiology, Biology or Life Sciences

+ Must have an understanding of aseptic techniques, or biological testing (college courses are fine)

+ Attention to detail, with ability to keep detailed notes and logs

+ Microbiology tests knowledge

+ Microsoft Office experience

Microbiology Lab Supervisor

Description:

+ This individual supervises exempt and non-exempt Microbiology staff. Oversees and guides the Microbiology Team in method development, new technology, routine QC testing, environmental programs, and/or metrology.

+ Provide support and oversight of testing and release of laboratory testing.

+ Initiates and completes laboratory investigations to their closure.

+ Conducts training for direct reports and takes part in needed training to perform job function.

+ Provides performance based feedback to direct reports, including completion of annual performance reviews.

+ Provides support to R&D lab.

+ Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Able to assimilate complex information to evaluate the impact and acceptability of microorganisms found in materials, product or the facility.

+ Wil have a total of 5-10 direct reports (microbiologists and technicians)

Qualifications:

+ Bachelors Degree in science - ideally microbiology

+ 5+ years of experience within a lab setting

+ 2+ years of supervisor experience

+ Experience within a GMP environment and QC lab setting

+ Experience in USP AET testing, environmental monitoring programs and microbiological assays
