Starting pay rate $24.14 (non- negotiable)


This position will start on August 5, 2025

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Protect the health and welfare of the public by defending the station against any act of radiological sabotage, attack, or theft of special nuclear material. As specified by procedure and the site security plan, maintain a secure perimeter for site access and egress and employee, contractor and visitor entry. Perform search, patrol, and inspections in accordance with the Station Security Plan, procedures, and post orders.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide physical protection of Constellation nuclear generating facilities against intrusion and acts of sabotage.
  • Conduct armed stationary, foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior).
  • Conduct patrols and inspections. Monitor access to security areas
  • Control access and/or egress of personnel, materials and vehicles.
  • Monitor CCTV, plant surveillance equipment and alarm systems.
  • Respond to threats and contingency events
  • Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and safety violations
  • Perform equipment testing
  • Perform other duties as specified in nuclear training and qualification plan and post orders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pass Any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)
  • Ability to pass extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and educational.
  • Ability to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment. -Be able to successfully complete all training required for the position
  • Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Pass the following, post-offer in accordance with code of federal regulations for armed nuclear security assignment: MMPI psychological testing physical exams, including vision and hearing,
  • Ability to pass Physical fitness (agilities) test in accordance with site training and qualification plan
  • Firearms qualification with handgun, shotgun and rifle per client site training and qualification plan.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Individuals with prior experience below will recieve preferential consideration for these vacancies:
  • Military Experience OR
  • Current/Prior Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice OR
  • Prior Commercial Security/Loss Prevention experience
