OCI Cloud Security Engineer - 100% Remote


Mainz Brady Group is currently recruiting for an OCI Security Engineer for a remote contract. Contractor will manage and secure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, ensuring reliable, compliant, and scalable operations. Support multi-cloud networking, infrastructure-as-code, automation, monitoring, and threat response.


Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain OCI compute, networking, storage, IAM, and load balancers
  
  
• Design and manage multi-cloud networking (VCNs, NAT/firewall gateways, AWS transit)
  
  
• Implement IAM policies, compartments, and federation in OCI
  
  
• Enforce CIS benchmarks, apply patches, and manage security updates
  
  
• Build IaC pipelines using Terraform Cloud, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
  
  
• Manage Ansible-based configuration and patch automation
  
  
• Set up monitoring and alerts (Datadog, OCI Metrics, PagerDuty) with SLA/SLO tracking
  
  
• Respond to OCI security events (Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Logging)
  
  
• Ensure backup, DR, HA, and compliance with least privilege and audit reviews
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale and secure OCI workloads
  
  

Required Skills:

• 3+ years hands-on OCI experience; 5+ years in cybersecurity/infra roles
  
  
• Proficient with Terraform, Ansible, scripting (Bash/Python)
  
  
• Strong understanding of OCI networking, IAM, and native security tools
  
  
• Experience with tools like Teleport, CrowdStrike, Tenable, and SIEM solutions
  
  
• Familiar with compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
  
  

Preferred:

• OCI Certified Architect or Security Pro
  
  
• Experience with Splunk, Cribl, Datadog, GitHub Actions, and AWS networking
  
  
• Background in hybrid cloud environments and DevSecOps
