We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in Orthopedic Surgery for a locum tenens opportunity to support ongoing coverage needs due to a long-term vacancy. This role is based in a Level 1 Trauma Center and involves both inpatient and outpatient settings with call-only responsibilities. Respond to orthopedic consults and pages during assigned call shifts (6:00 PM 8:00 AM) Perform procedures including initial fracture assessments and orthopedic interventions Admit patients as needed Cover both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care Manage a variety of orthopedic cases across adult, geriatric, and pediatric populations Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Georgia or IMLC eligible Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery specialty Must have PALS certification Must be able to obtain hospital privileges (temporary privileges available) ICU/CCU exposure required Must have experience in orthopedic procedures , including fracture care Previous inpatient and outpatient orthopedic experience strongly preferred Call Schedule (6:00 PM 8:00 AM): July: 7/5, 7/11 7/12, 7/16 August: 8/8 8/9, 8/29 September: 9/12 9/15, 9/26 9/30 October: 10/1 10/10, 10 31 November: 11/7 11/9, 11 21, 11 1 December: 12/7 12/10, 12 22, 12 31 Candidates must be able to respond within 30 minutes for beeper call coverage.
