Position Overview:

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring assigned area for threats to the physical security to the bank branch to ensure the safety of employees, customers and the general public. The Security Guard proactively scans the environment, greet visitors and follows safety practices to mitigate risk. This position would be 18 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor premises and branch visitors to ensure safety, deescalate unruly individuals, and prevent theft.
• Patrol area, follow branch security protocols and all safety guidelines.
• Document security incidents or violations and assists with active safety issues.
• Assist in incidents involving emergency personnel or other agencies.
• Work with law enforcement or other agencies as appropriate.
• Keep current with ongoing security training.

Requirements:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of one-year, prior experience, in physical security.

Competencies:

• Manage emergency situations in a measured and calm manner
• Dependable and trustworthy with a calm and friendly demeanor
• Possess understanding of risk mitigation, security and surveillance
• Possess experience in conflict resolution

Preferred, but not required:

• Previous experience in law enforcement, bank security, or surveillance
• CPR certification and/ or first aid experience

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay: $20 / hour.

Old Second is committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Pay is dependent upon the pay range and the incumbent's knowledge, skills and experience.

Branch hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-12pm. Professional work environment.
