Worship Vocalist and Worship Director
Role Overview and Primary Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Worship Vocalist and Worship Coordinator is responsible for helping with worship services through vocal performance and instrumental performance. They will collaborate closely with pastoral staff to create worship experiences that foster spiritual growth and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead Worship Vocally: Serve as the primary female worship vocalist for regular services, and occasional special events.
· Team Building: Recruit, help schedule and nurture volunteer musicians and vocalists, developing a supportive team environment.
· Understanding of technology and sound.
· Instrumental experience on piano, guitar or other instrument preferred.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in music, worship arts, or a related field (not required).
· Outstanding vocal ability, with a heart for worship.
· Proficiency in at least one instrument (preferred).
· Ability to read music and arrange vocal/instrumental parts preferred but not required.
· Leadership and team-building skills with a collaborative mindset.
· Strong organizational and communication abilities.
· Commitment to the mission and values of the church.
· Openness to diverse musical styles within the context of Christian worship.
Personal Attributes
· Spiritually mature and passionate about worship ministry.
· Dependable, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Reporting and Schedule
· Reports to: Co-Lead Pastors
· Schedule: Sunday morning 10:45-11:45. 2 hours a week for practice, worship recruiting, organizing and recruiting.
· Time commitment apx. 4 hours a week.
· $25 an hour
