This role focuses on Commercial and Healthcare Construction and is an integral part of our companys growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction, with a strong emphasis on Commercial Ground Up and TI, healthcare facilities and multifamily construction. This role requires a deep understanding of the preconstruction process, including RFP, estimating schedules, and the use of various construction software tools. Responsibilities: As a Preconstruction Director, you will be expected to: 1. Oversee all preconstruction activities, including but not limited to, conceptual estimating, detailed estimating, scheduling, logistics, constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk assessment. 2. Review and analyze project design and development to ensure cost- effectiveness and adherence to budget constraints. 3. Lead the preparation and presentation of project proposals and RFP responses. 4. Collaborate with design teams, architects, owners, and contractors to provide value engineering and cost-saving strategies. 5. Utilize construction software tools such as Procore, Textura, Bluebeam, Timberline, OST, and onscreen takeoff for project planning and execution. 6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors in the healthcare construction sector. 7. Participate in contract negotiations, ensuring the best possible terms for the company. 8. Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the healthcare construction industry. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Preconstruction Director position must possess the following qualifications: 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction, with a focus on Commercial, healthcare and multifamily construction. 2. Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints. 3. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and various construction software tools such as Procore, Textura, Bluebeam, Timberline, OST, and onscreen takeoff. 4. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. 5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. 7. Strong knowledge of construction laws and regulations. 8. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 9. Professional certifications in construction management or a related field would be a plus.
