PROJECT MANAGER/VTSU Coworking Space Entrepreneur in Residence Grade 14 VSC UP PAT Bargaining Unit Exempt BASIC FUNCTION Manage all aspects of projects within the scope of the VTSU Coworking Space. The Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) will oversee the strategic direction, the establishment and operation and success of VTSU's coworking facility in Lyndonville, building and supporting a robust and diverse membership community, and promoting VTSU and the NEK's innovation ecosystem. EIR will provide management in the overall development and day to day operation of the Lyndonville Coworking Space including its personnel, budgets, and projects.
JOB DUTIES & CHARACTERISTICS - Responsible for the management and promotion of new initiatives as well as those assigned by the Director of the Center for Professional Studies in relation to the mission of the VTSU Coworking Space.
- Responsible for the development and execution a plan in response to a new or assigned initiative. This may include, but not limited to: marketing; customer service; student support services; vendor identification, selection and management; content and curriculum review; budget development and tracking; program logistics; interaction with college departments and personnel; and revenue collections.
- Responsible for the identification of resources needed for project initiative.
- Responsible for the management of the day to day operational aspects of projects as well as project oversight on behalf of the Coworking Space.
- Develop and implement a strategic membership acquisition plan to build coworking membership and sustain and grow a great community of coworkers.
Develop and implement coworking marketing plan to engage and inform internal and external stakeholders. Oversee communication with all members through phone, email, text, and Slack. - Connect a broad network of entrepreneurs, funders, members, educators, and students to build a flagship coworking space, which can scale and build and retain member companies as a sustainable revenue stream.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and state agencies and organizations to develop business-relevant and responsive educational initiatives that accelerate entrepreneurship and economic development.
- Maintain records and produce reports relative to program activities, goals and objectives
- Establish and monitor the budget for the Lyndonville Coworking Space.
- Duties performed in standard office setting but with predictable need for travel.
- Work outside of regular business hours may be expected.
- Valid Vermont driver's license required.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED General supervision is received from the Director of the Center for Professional Studies.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED Administrative and functional supervision of one half time employee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or other appropriate discipline plus 5-7 years of relevant experience in a related environment or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are required.
- Strong oral and written communication, marketing and digital media planning, and organizational and business management skills. Excellent administrative, planning, writing, and organizational skills.
- Leadership experience and the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals and groups.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in developing, applying and interpreting of VTSU coworking policies and represent the VTSU coworking space in a wide variety of settings.
- Exemplary time management skills.
- Flexible schedule required.
