Job Description You will be the Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin's JASSM/LRASM program in Troy, AL. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of products in a manufacturing environment, and we're seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring quality is built into the product by developing, modifying, and maintaining work instructions, evaluation and control systems, and protocols. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and devise methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Developing and maintaining work instructions, evaluation and control systems, and protocols to ensure quality is built into the product
-Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
-Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
-Performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of non-conforming products or materials
-Auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
-Investigating and resolving non-conformance issues through to root cause and corrective action
-Participating in continuous improvement activities, such as product and process audits, Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs), and Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) Walk Downs

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or higher
-Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start
-Microsoft Office experience (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Desired skills -Quality Engineering support in a manufacturing environment
-Two or more years of related experience
-One+ years of quality experience
-Previous JASSM/LRASM experience
-Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification.
-SAP experience a plus
-Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
-Quality discipline internship or DoD Industry internship
-Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment

Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
