Job Title: Research Security and Export Controls Program Coordinator

Job Description:
Purdue University is seeking a motivated Program Coordinator to help build our Research Security and Export Control Program. In this role, you'll support the Associate Director for Research Security in ensuring Purdue's compliance with federal regulations while coordinating outreach, training, and leadership activities.
This is a hybrid position.
As the Research Security Program Coordinator, you'll:
- Support day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with NSPM 33 and other research security regulations
- Coordinate the RSEC outreach and training program
- Manage activities related to RSEC leadership and working groups
- Monitor program progress and manage records
- Track relevant policies
- Manage communications content, including the program website
- Compose, format, and proofread correspondence and documents

What We Are Looking For: Education and Experience Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Two (2) years of experience in project management, operations, communications, or customer service
Skills needed:
- Exceptional organizational skills, initiative, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong communication (written/oral) as well as interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of research compliance
- Demonstrated interest in research security and export controls issues
- Ability to plan and implement employee-training and outreach
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to establish long and short-term operational goals consistent with the mission of the university as well as the program and help build processes
- Ability to work collaboratively and to build, develop, and cultivate relationships with a variety of constituents
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports
- Interest in learning and using new IT systems'
Nice to have:
- Master's degree in public policy, business, communications, or a related field
- Knowledge of state and federal policy, laws, statutes, and regulations related to the position
