Local metal processing facility in Lancaster, NY is looking for an experience scale operator to join their team!!
1st shift - 7:15am-3:45pm Mon-Fri
Pay varies based on experience - $22/hr

REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have previous scale operation experience and be familiar with shipping and receiving
-Must be able to operate a forklift as needed
-Must be proficient with computers and have math skills
-Microsoft Access experience preferred
-Must be a good communicator and be able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day
JOB DUTIES:
-Accurately take readings and record scale data
-Execute necessary paperwork functions
-Coordinate and communicate with freight department any incoming or outgoing trucks
-Operate scales to find weights of product arriving at and leaving the plant
-Coordinate with plant manager the loading and unloading of trucks
-Determine where incoming material will be placed once unloaded
-Mark received material with dates, times and other information
-Communicate any weight discrepancies with plant manager
-Follow all spins and customer specs
-Prepare shipped goods in a timely manner in respect to shipping dates/times
