Senior Coding Manager

Fully Remote

$150-170k annually

We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Senior or Lead Coding Manager to guide a team of medical coders across multiple specialties like Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Anesthesia, and Surgery. This role ensures that coding is done accurately, on time, and in line with all compliance requirements — while also leading and supporting your team to do their best work.

You’ll work with teams in the U.S. and internationally to keep operations running smoothly, improve processes, and make sure both internal leadership and clients are in the loop on performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily coding operations across U.S. and international teams
• Make sure all coding is accurate, timely, and meets compliance standards
• Spot and fix issues related to coding denials, rejections, and edits
• Track team performance and support coder development and training
• Analyze documentation trends and give feedback to providers and leadership
• Collaborate with leadership, Client Success, and Enterprise Service Delivery to meet client expectations
• Use data to report on team progress and identify areas for improvement
• Be the go-to person for coding-related questions or challenges
• Keep coding policies and processes consistent across teams

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• CPC and/or RHIT certification preferred
• 7+ years of hands-on coding experience (Emergency Med, Radiology, Surgery, or Anesthesia preferred)
• 4+ years of leadership or management experience in a coding environment
• Experience working with global teams is a plus
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and E&M guidelines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive mindset and love for process improvement
