Senior Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile balance sheets and income statements on a monthly basis.
• Prepare month-end closing entries, including pre-paids, accruals, intercompany transactions, interest, and eliminations.
• Record payroll journal entries and collaborate closely with HR.
• Analyze sub-ledger and general ledger activity to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Allocate credit card fundings to invoices.
• Calculate and verify sales team commissions in coordination with sales leadership and HR.
• Support the international accounting team during the month-end close process.
• Reconcile and record tariffs as part of the landed cost process on a weekly basis.
• Review and reconcile inventory transactions against accounts payable.
• Manage annual 1042 filings for non-U.S. vendors related to royalties.
• Maintain lease files, including straight-line and deferred rent schedules, and perform rent/CAM reconciliations.
• Lead audits for all company entities as needed.
• Oversee property tax return filings.
• Input and process wire payments weekly.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested.

Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in staff and senior staff accounting roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Experience in international accounting is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Excel with advanced reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O is a plus
• Knowledge of state sales tax regulations is a plus.
