We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Manager to join our Top 50 public accounting firm. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our firm's tax operations. The ideal Senior Tax Manager candidate will have an active CPA and experience with a ride range of returns. Open to all locations across the country - ideally 3-4 days in office, 1-2 days remote.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the tax department's operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that align with the firm's business objectives.
3. Prepare and review complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
4. Proactively identify and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
5. Provide expert tax advice to clients, helping them make informed financial decisions.
6. Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
7. Stay updated with the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, and ensure the firm's compliance with these changes.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns.
9. Participate in business development initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with clients.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's Degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on tax planning and compliance.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the local, state, federal, and international levels.
4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to clients and team members.
8. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in tax preparation software and other relevant accounting tools.
10. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
11. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
