We're a small and motivated team of foodies who are excited about making the reservation experience awesome for both guests and operators. What does it mean to be a Senior UI Designer at Peak? We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior UI Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll lead the design of user interfaces that delight our users-both restaurant operators and diners. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to craft elegant solutions that are intuitive, scalable, and visually stunning. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Peak Reservations' platform and make a real impact on how restaurants and guests connect. What You'll Do: Design & Execution: Lead the design of user interfaces across web and mobile platforms, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines. Translate complex workflows into user-friendly, visually compelling designs that enhance usability and engagement. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas and iterate based on feedback. Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of your designs. Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Advocate for a user-centric approach in all stages of the product development lifecycle. Provide mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Research & Innovation: Conduct usability testing and leverage analytics to gather insights and validate design decisions. Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to the table. What We're Looking For: Must-Have Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a UI Designer, preferably in SaaS or consumer-facing digital products. A strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills, including web and mobile projects. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Solid understanding of design systems, typography, color theory, and layout principles. Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to bridge the gap between design and engineering. Experience in designing for the restaurant or hospitality industry. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
