Description:
The SIOP Manager is responsible for leading the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to align demand, supply, and inventory strategies with the company’s operational and financial goals. This role focuses on optimizing resource utilization and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality aerospace components and systems. The SIOP Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to balance production capabilities with customer requirements in a highly regulated and fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
SIOP Process Management
· Lead and execute the SIOP process, ensuring alignment with customer demands, production capacity, and inventory objectives specific to aerospace manufacturing.
· Conduct monthly SIOP meetings to present integrated plans and resolve conflicts across demand, supply, and inventory.
· Develop and maintain SIOP models tailored to long lead times and stringent aerospace regulations.
Demand Planning
· Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Program Management to develop accurate demand forecasts based on customer contracts, long-term agreements (LTAs), and project timelines.
· Analyze historical demand, industry trends, and market forecasts to improve accuracy.
· Address variability in demand due to program changes, production ramp-ups, or new product introductions (NPIs).
Supply Planning
· Work with Procurement, Operations, and Engineering to align production schedules with customer requirements while considering supplier lead times and material constraints.
· Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations) during supply planning.
· Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks from supply disruptions or changes in customer schedules.
Inventory Optimization
· Implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels for critical aerospace components and materials, including long-lead-time items.
· Monitor and manage inventory of finished goods, work-in-progress (WIP), and raw materials to minimize excess and obsolescence.
· Drive initiatives to reduce inventory carrying costs while maintaining compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
Collaboration and Communication
· Act as the central point of coordination between Sales, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Program Management.
· Ensure clear communication of production schedules, capacity constraints, and customer delivery timelines.
· Provide actionable insights to executive leadership, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and SIOP metrics.

· Forecast accuracy and deviation (% deviation)
· On-time delivery (OTD) to customer schedules
· Inventory turnover and excess/obsolete inventory levels
· Production schedule adherence and capacity utilization
Qualifications
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in SIOP, supply chain, or operations planning within aerospace manufacturing.
· Strong understanding of aerospace supply chain challenges, including long lead times, regulatory compliance, and quality requirements.
Skills and Competencies
· Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems used in aerospace (currently using JobBoss)
· Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, especially in managing complex multi-level BOMs.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills to navigate cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment.
· Knowledge of FAA, AS9100, and ITAR compliance requirements.
Certifications
· APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is highly preferred.
