This role is perfect for an experienced professional who is passionate about tax accounting and is adept at asset management and general ledger. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with their tax-related needs. Responsibilities: As a Sr Tax Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing federal, state, and local tax documents by analyzing and computing taxable income, calculating tax liability, preparing reports, and validating return for completeness and accuracy.
2. Coordinating audits by various taxation authorities and managing the audit process.
3. Developing tax strategies to defer or eliminate tax payments and coordinating these strategies with the overall company goals.
4. Conducting research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and to identify potential savings or strategic opportunities.
5. Maintaining and managing the company's asset register and ensuring that all assets are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
6. Regularly reviewing the company’s financial and tax strategies and making recommendations for improvements.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with laws and regulations, and preparing financial data for internal use.
8. Ensuring the company meets its financial and legal obligations by preparing and submitting tax returns on time.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong background in asset management and general ledger.
3. Thorough knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures at the federal, state, and local levels.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply tax laws to the company’s operations.
5. Proficiency in tax software and databases, as well as MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly to non-finance professionals.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
8. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
