Job Details

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Staff Accountant to join our commercial construction company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting project-based accounting needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including payroll. accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Process invoices, track expenses, and monitor cash flow for multiple construction projects
• Reconcile bank statements and perform month-end closing procedures
• Implement and maintain proper accounting methods, policies, and principles specific to the construction industry
• Utilize construction-specific accounting software to track project costs and financial data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Experience working with Sage300 or Timberline
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
