We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent in the Healthcare Construction industry. This role is designed for a strategic and hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about construction and healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of construction projects from planning to completion, with a particular focus on healthcare facilities. This includes new builds, renovations, expansions, and tenant improvements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial projects, ground-up construction, and will be comfortable working closely with a diverse team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction renovations, ground-up, addition, expansion, and tenant improvements.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
- Review and interpret plans and specifications, ensuring the highest quality of work and adherence to codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, providing valuable input into the planning and design stages of projects.
- Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring all work is completed within budgetary guidelines.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and liaise with local authorities and inspectors as required.
- Effectively communicate project progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Manage any arising issues or delays, implementing effective solutions to mitigate impact on project deliverables.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting team engagement and productivity.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role within the healthcare construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience with construction renovations, ground-up, addition, expansion, MOB, Assistant Superintendent, TI, renovation, Tenant Improvement, and Commercial Projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety protocols.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate and oversee a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues and challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in construction software programs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
