Job Description
ForeFlight is seeking a Test Analyst with a background as a pilot or experience with general aviation avionic systems to join our Test Engineering team. As a Test Analyst, you will leverage your extensive aviation knowledge to collaborate closely with product managers, developers, designers, and other Test Engineering team members.Your responsibilities will involve developing and executing comprehensive tests for both new and existing ForeFlight applications and services.
Essential qualifications for this role include a strong background in aviation, along with exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate demonstrates a driven and self-reliant approach to executing, delivering, and completing projects, while also valuing input from team members when necessary.
This position is based at our office in Austin, Texas. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k) with matching, and flight training reimbursement.
Required Skills: - Possess or held a valid FAA pilot certificate
- Experience with general aviation avionics from Garmin, Avidyne, or Dynon
- Experience with gathering, analyzing, and translating broad requirements and designs into traceable feature tests
Desired Skills: - Experience in conducting acceptance testing with precision and efficiency
- Practical experience with any test case management tool
- Experience using any of the following:
- Technology suites including proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and other relevant software tools
- Atlassian products including Confluence and JIRA
- GitHub
