Technical Professionals Group provides validation, durability, mileage accumulation and quality testing services for vehicle and mechanized equipment projects and programs in the engineering, R&D, quality control and quality assurance sectors of the automotive industry.

**SUMMARY:**

To safely operate test vehicles in various locations within North America to understand what the customer may experience while operating the vehicle in specific and often extreme environments. Team members will drive test vehicles in a wide range of testing conditions and environments and to share their observations, problems or abnormalities with the vehicle.

**JOB DESCRIPTION/SKILLS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Drive assigned vehicles on specified routes in various locations.

* Cycle 100+ components on the vehicle each shift

* Operate the vehicle in ways that simulate typical customer behavior based on customer provided instruction.

* Accurately report any concerns or issues you observe with the vehicle to technicians and engineers.

* Perform all duties with safety as top priority. Everyone will be obligated to report all near-misses and safety concerns while performing job duties.

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:**

* Valid driver's license

* Clean motor vehicle record (past 5 years)

* Must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience

* Proven record of safe driving and can display safe driving behavior

* Willingness and ability to drive a range of vehicles from small car to full-size truck in a wide variety of environments

* Can lift and move up to 40 lbs.

* Must successfully pass Middle Class Driver training

* Willingness and ability to work in hot/cold climates.

* Willingness to accept coaching of driving techniques

* Clear verbal and written communication

* Follow verbal and written instruction

* Use smartphone and tablet and connect via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

* Ability to use GPS navigation

* Detecting vehicle issues and documenting observations in factual manner

* Safe operation of test vehicles, following all driving laws

* Self-reporting of near misses and observed vehicle damage

* GED or High School Diploma (Some college preferred)

* Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical and electronic features

* Flexible working schedule including working overtime and possibly weekends

* Flexible with shift change (unless they prefer PM for some reason)

* Keen Listening, Learning and Observation skills

* Able to travel as needed

* Work in team environment

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:**

* The vehicles that are to be driven may be prototype (not currently for sale in public). Special instructions how to operate these vehicles must be strictly followed to ensure confidentiality requirements.

* All vehicles contain surveillance equipment including cameras and GPS tracking. All passengers must be willing to be recorded.

* In vehicle cameras are used as tools for investigating vehicle issues and to help coaching driver behavior.

* Daily duties include approx. 80% driving / 20% inspection and reporting

* Because of mandated weight and balance requirements with testing, candidates cannot exceed 230 lbs.

* Willingness to learn basic mechanical wrenching

* Willingness to travel

**Safety Sensitive Position** requiring all persons assigned to activity to be drug-free and able to successfully pass a drug screen.
