Title: Traffic Coordinator

Reports To: Shipping Manager

SUMMARY

Baytown Logistic Company is a 3PL company that works with different customers. This position will be responsible for handling customers with personal ownership and accountability for meeting customer needs and demonstrating appropriate levels of empathy, enthusiasm, skills and expertise. Has respect and ensures satisfaction in their business dealings while representing our team.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Essential duties and responsibilities)

Monitor and continuously update the check in Spreadsheet for drivers dropping containers or picking up containers or live loads.

Verify Building and door for live loads and inform the shipping supervisor for that building that the driver is here and confirm the door to which to send them.

Verify which building and door to send inbound supplies with the Supply coordinator.

Verify the container number, booking number and the customer order number when a driver brings a container to drop or live load and confirm the driver input correctly into the check in spreadsheet.

Input the container number into the WMS.

Verify the Seal number on a container / truck leaving PBP matches what is in the WMS system before the driver leaves.

Creating BOLs for outbound shipments and having drivers sign.

Send the BOLs to customers / carriers / CSR for outbound shipments.

Notify the carrier for rejected containers and send them the pictures.

If Bulk trucks loading / unloading verify scale heavy/light tare weights. Create an outbound BOL with all weights noted.

Maintains the Confidentiality of PBP company information.

OTHER DUTIES

Satisfactorily completes all other duties as may be reasonably assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Previous work experience is required in the logistics field.

Basic computer skills such as typing, MS Excel / Word.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Speaking knowledge of Spanish is helpful.

Ability to exercise judgment to quickly solve problems, working with minimal supervision.
